Personal Documentaries Canada president, David Hunter has spent a lifetime in television broadcasting in Canada and the UK and he recalls working with NFB founder John Grierson - the man who actually coined the term "documentary."
Although his career in broadcasting has allowed him to come into contact with many famous personalities, he has always been intrigued by the stories that so-called "ordinary" people have to tell, and the vast wealth of experience that individuals accumulate in a lifetime. "If only these stories could be told," is a thought that always crossed his mind.
Personal Documentaries Canada has its origins going back some 20 years when Hunter used his beloved 16mm Bolex film camera to document events that can be treasured today.
Now in the digital age, Personal Documentaries Canada is equipped to offer you the opportunity to commission your personal documentary so that your story can be told at last and preserved for all time as a lasting legacy.
